• This was the best gluten free cake we’ve ever had, so pleased. Usually gf cake us quite dry but this was moist and I honestly couldn’t tell it was gf, it was delicious!

• Ordered to celebrate my friends birthday. As she is a coeliac, choices for birthday cakes are very limited and, lets be honest, are usually dry and grainy and next to inedible. I first come across Sponge a few years ago at the BBC Good Food show and remember their regular cakes being really yummy! I was looking online for a gluten free cake and Sponge popped up with alot of positive reviews and pretty quick delivery (I left it to the last minute and it's recommended the cake is delivered a day before needed!) The day came and the sponge was delivered early. It was well packed in a very sturdy outer box and a very sturdy inner box. There were even some napkins included which i thought was a nice touch. When we came to present and cut the cake, it looked and tasted home made. You honestly wouldn't have known it was gluten free either. To the point my coeliac friend made me double check the packaging and ingredients! My only criticism was there was a bit too much buttercream in the middle, but that's a personal preference and no reflection on the product itself. All in all, fantastic service and amazing cake - will definitely order again and recommend to everyone! :)
