At Sponge, we believe every celebration deserves the perfect cake – baked fresh and sent straight to your door. Whether it’s a birthday surprise, a Victoria sponge for the weekend, or a box of gluten-free brownies for a friend, we make it simple to order online and enjoy wherever you are in the UK.
From mini cakes to wedding centrepieces, our range includes vegan treats, carrot cakes, red velvet, lemon sponge, and more – all handmade and carefully packed so they arrive just as delicious as when they left our bakery.
How It Works
Standard Service – Order at least 2 days ahead and your cake will be freshly baked and on its way for your chosen date. Ideal for planned celebrations and gifting.
Express & Next Day Delivery – Last-minute plans? Place your order by 2pm for faster dispatch, available most days of the week in many UK towns and cities.
Collection - In the area? You can collect from our office free of charge if you enter our postcode, NR25 6DG, at checkout. Just make sure you're actually nearby! We're based in Holt, Norfolk - so collection is perfect if you enjoying North Norfolk on holiday and need a cake.
Where We Send Cakes
We bake and ship to most UK addresses, including major cities like Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Cardiff and London – plus countless towns and villages in between. We also cater for seasonal gifting, from Mother’s Day surprises to festive orders before Christmas - perfect for our limited edition festive range!
Some remote and island postcodes are excluded (including BFPO, GY, GX, JE, IM, ZE, and parts of BT, KW, IV, PH)¹.

You can select the delivery date from our handy calendar, whether you need your order for next day delivery, or want to place your order in advance, the choice is yours! Our calendar allows you to place your order as far in advance as you would like, whether you want to order a wedding cake or order a birthday cake you can pick a delivery date that is convenient for you. If you’re ordering a cake or brownie for a special occasion, we recommend selecting the delivery date for a day or two before you require your order to make sure it is there in plenty of time. This is in case there are problems with the delivery (breakdowns, exceptional circumstances, or events). Our cakes and brownies have either a 7 or 10 day life from the date of dispatch, depending on the flavour, so even if they arrive a day or two early, they will still be fresh and delicious on your special occasion.
