Our Gluten Free Victoria Sponge Cake has a light and fluffy vanilla sponge which is sandwiched together with strawberry jam and a generous layer of naturally flavoured vanilla buttercream. On top is a dusting of icing sugar.

Storage & Care

Our gluten free cakes are made in a separate kitchen to our standard cakes, by a team who will only work in that kitchen all day and do not move between kitchens. Ingredients are stored separately and no equipment is shared between the gluten free kitchen and the kitchen where the rest of our cakes are made.

  • I don't have much experience yet making gluten free cakes so I wanted to make sure the cake for my daughter's 5th birthday party would be perfect. It was her first big party with friends and with a birthday so near Christmas I was getting a bit overwhelmed with all the preparations. I had had Sponge recommended to me by a coeliac friend so I went for the Large Gluten Free Victoria Sponge as I thought this would go down well with everyone and I could just add my own icing/decoration on the top to fit with the party theme. There was plenty of cake for a generous slice in all the party bags and some extra slices that were nibbled on the spot! We even had a chunk left to bring home and it was absolutely delicious. The delivery was fantastic and arrived in good time and well packaged. Will definitely use Sponge again for hassle free delicious gluten free cake!

You can freeze your gluten free Victoria cake for up to 6 months - either whole in the original packaging straight away or you can wrap and freeze some slices you have left. Don't ever let your Sponge Cake go to waste! Most never usually make it to the freezer but just in case. Once you are ready for the cake just take it out of the freezer and pop it in a cosy spot to get up to room temperature for 24 hours before serving.

STORAGE - Please store me in an air-tight container in a cosy spot - I don't like being kept in the fridge.
