What's in the mix?

Free range eggs, gluten free flour mix, ground almonds and natural vanilla flavouring create a wonderfully light gluten free vanilla sponge. English butter and natural vanilla create a thick and creamy buttercream matched perfectly with raspberry jam.

How do I look?

Our Gluten Free Victoria Sponge Cake has a light and fluffy vanilla sponge which is sandwiched together with crushed raspberry jam and a generous layer of naturally flavoured vanilla buttercream. On top is a dusting of icing sugar.

STORAGE - Please store me in an air-tight container in a cosy spot - I don't like being kept in the fridge. Can be frozen for up to 6 months.

How do I arrive?

Our sponge cakes are packaged in secure and robust packaging. The inner box is wrapped around the cake to securely hold it in place so the sides and top do not get damaged in transit. The box also includes a handy cutting guide! It is then put in a strong cardboard outer box for extra protection so it will arrive to you safely.

All of our cakes are baked in the same kitchen and although we do all we can to minimise the risk of cross-contamination we cannot 100% guarantee this.

    Really enjoy your cakes and very grateful for the gluten free selection. However, the Victoria Sponge I ordered was sickly sweet and needed a lot of tea to wash down. Less sugar would have meant a cake that you can enjoy without feeling wiped out afterwards.

Sugar, margarine (palm oil, rapeseed oil, salt, emulsifier E475, flavouring, sunflower oil, colours (curcumin, annatto), eggs, self raising flour (rice, potato, tapioca, maize and buckwheat), raising agents (mono calcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate), raspberry jam (glucose-fructose syrup, raspberries, sugar, gelling agent: pectin, acidity regulators: citric acid and/or sodium citrate, elderberry extract)), butter (milk), milk, almonds, natural vanilla flavour, xanthan gum.

You can freeze your gluten free Victoria cake for up to 6 months - either whole in the original packaging straight away or you can wrap and freeze some slices you have left. Don't ever let your Sponge Cake go to waste! Most never usually make it to the freezer but just in case. Once you are ready for the cake just take it out of the freezer and pop it in a cosy spot to get up to room temperature for 24 hours before serving.
