• Ordered the red velvet cake to be sent to my daughters student house for her 20th Birthday.......and her and her house friends absolutely loved it! I ordered the rainbow decoration and a 2 and 0 candle, but then realised after the order that I had missed the 0 candle out of the basket! The friendly people at Sponge quickly rectified my mistake for me! I would highly recommend and will definitely order from them again ......5 star all the way!!!!

• This was my second order from Sponge, after trying the red velvet in a mini sponge i just had to order a whole one. Delivery was great, it was well packed so it arrived perfectly, and the cake tastes amazing. Would definitely order this again.

• Red velvet cake is my favourite, so I didn't want to risk trying to make one myself over Valentines and getting it wrong! Your cake was absolutely delicious, and brilliant quality! Very well packaged, with clear updates and instructions on storage and shelf life. Eaten within advised 7 days, with every slice fully enjoyed by myself and my family. Will 100% be using your service again.

• Not the best red velvet I've ever had but certainly not the worst. Sponge was lovely. I would have preferred a slightly softer buttercream for the centre.

• The red velvet was quite delicious, sponge not too soft and filling just the right texture. Has kept the two of us going for several days.

• I ordered this cake for my son’s 20th birthday because he is at university in Liverpool and I couldn’t be there. The cake was delivered promptly and looked beautifully packaged and by all accounts tasted delicious! My son was very pleased with it as it’s his favourite type of cake.

• I was lucky enough to have a selection of the mini sponges sent to me by my friend and the Red Velvet stood out for me. So when it was available as 'Sponge Friday' it was a perfect opportunity to try it as a whole cake. The size of the cake was fantastic value - maybe a touch more buttercream on top, but that's just to my taste. The cake tasted 'home-made' and that is just one of its highlights. The flavour of the sponge was delicious and so soft. The buttercream was smooth and complimented the sponge so well. My children absolutely loved it too and most definitely helped cheer us up on the weekend! Just brilliant! Thank you!

• A good looking cake. Unfortunately the sponge was very dry . So disappointed as it looked so nice. Have tasted your cakes before and have all been very tasty and moist. Would not order a red velvet one again. Your carrot cake and Victoria sponge which I had at a friends were great.

• Very good flavouring on both the sponge and the frosting was very nice what I liked most about the cake is it wasn’t too sweet like shop bought cakes .
