• I have had this cake before and it is one of my favourites from Sponge. Lovely and moist with plenty of walnuts. I have always preferred carrot cake with the traditional cream cheese frosting but the quality of this Sponge cake with the buttercream is extremely moreish.

• Perfect, a lovely moist sponge with a not too sweet filling and topping and perfect for the birthday event

• For a carrot cake without the usual cream cheese topping it was delicious and the topping and filling was not too sweet.

• Honestly, I only had the carrot cake the vegan version and I was super impressed. I would never have known it was vegan having tried my hand at baking vegan. Honestly very delicious. So much so that I ordered a 16 slice carrot cake for my daughter's team at work (NHS amu ward) another for the family, a lemon drizzle for my eldest daughter (gluten free for my granddaughter) a cake card for my niece and a cake card for my granddaughter in the Mackenzie family who had a carrot cake because she is allergic to walnuts. A big PLUS from me

• Dry sponge cake - carrot cake should be moist! Subtle spice flavour, with walnuts. No juicy sultanas. Beautifully thick and creamy butter icing or would have been only 2 stars. Very mediocre cake, on par with carrot cake from Waitrose. Unlikely to order again.
