Storage & Care

Buttercream loves a gentle warm-up, and brownies need a little patience to reach their soft, gooey magic. Our bakes have been chilling in transit and need time to be their best so if your sponge is a little dry give it some more time.

ROOM TEMP, BEST TEMP

Let your bake rest in their packaging for up to 12 hours or when it reaches room temperature. It will then be at its full, fluffy glory. Cake is always at its best when it’s cosy, not chilly.

KEEP IT FRESH

Pop leftovers in an airtight container and store somewhere cool and dry... no fridge chills or sunbathing, please! Keeping them at room temperature keeps your bakes soft, gooey, and full of joy.

FREEZE FOR FUTURE JOY

Celebration postponed? Wrap your cake carefully and freeze for up to six months. When you’re ready, thaw at room temperature to bring back that soft, fresh-baked magic you love.

Bought as a spur of the moment funny gift cake to celebrate someone's birthday that had been otherwise forgotten by their family - cake arrived promptly, was a hefty size, delicious too. Order process was swift (but I'm already a returning customer as I bought the card and cake in a box a few months before). My only gripe was the fact that the cake was delivered by Amazon who left it on its side. Fortunately, the cake was so well packed it was unscathed and the hilarious face we had printed on the icing was the first thing they saw upon opening the box. The fault was with them, definitely not with Sponge.

I was able to easily select a picture to personalise the cake with. Being able to add extras like candles also took a lot of stress away for me. The delivery process was well managed. I was told when the cake would arrive, updated by text and given an hour window for delivery. The cake arrived as expected and was packaged well. The cake looked amazing. The photo was high quality, and the accessories were great too. Finally, it tasted good as well and most importantly my wife loved it!
