• Not the most beautiful cake but all is forgiven because it was moist, delicious and flavoursome (allegedly- as it was sent to a relative Mike’s away so I didn’t get a taste!!)

• Made from good quality ingredients. Bigger than expected. Tasted delicious

• The cake is a good depth. The texture is excellent, just the right amount of squiggyness.

• Beautiful sponge which was moist with great flavours. The pieces of apple were lovely and buttercream with crumble on top really made it. Would definitely order again.

• My Mum loved the cake, shame it arrived two days before her birthday.

• The cakes are absolutely delicious , so moist and loads of filling I will definitely order again.

• Absolutely delicious. Moist cake with a lovely cinnamon sugar to give a little crunch on top of a delicate buttercream. Beautiful flavour and texture.

• The cake tasted delicious, lovely and moist. Would definitely buy again. Have had several cakes from sponge.co.uk and all have tasted wonderful and been great value.

• Our daughter was surprised and delighted to receive a cake through the post. She is always eating apples so we were delighted to find an apple crumble cake option. She said it was delicious - moist and fruity. We were rather disappointed that the candles were not up to the same quality particularly as we added this touch to make sure she had something to light and blow out on her special day. The cake was well packaged and arrived on the specified day and was left in the safe place we had suggested.

• Delicious, moist and a great cake fir afternoon tea or warmed with custard - try it, you won’t be disappointed.

• According to my parents the cake was srumptious - very light sponge, nicely spiced, with a crumbly topping and fresh apple pieces...I've only given 4 stars as I didn't eat it myself!

• We ordered the variety cake before and loved it so when we got an email about a cake the was all of our favourite things, Aapple, crumbke, spices, cake, I knew I had to order one. All of my grown up children are key workers so they deserved a treat. The cake didn't last long and was utterly delicious.

• Our all time favourite. Absolutely delicious. The flavour, apple pieces, sultanas, buttercream. All very moreish!

• Excellent cake very moist, good pieces of apple and raisins. Only one thing, I would have liked a little more buttercream filling but that is a personal preference.

• This was the first time I have tried this cake as it had never really appealed to me in the past. I was really surprised how lovely and moist it was and it is extremely nice. I will definitely be ordering this one again.

• The cake was a gift, but was told it was 'absolutely delicious'! .......it certainly looked it from the photos we received ?

• Delicious. A very tasty cake as all of your cakes have been.

• Soft flavoursome cake with so much depth it felt like a great portion every time even when you just have a small slice BUT Could still always eat more!

• This was a present sent to a friend on his birthday, so I don't really know how good it was!

• I ordered this as I couldn't travel to be at a family birthday. Everyone in my family who saw and tried it, loved it. Even those who said they don't eat much had some, and had second helpings. My sister who says she is 'not really cake person' raved about it, went back for more, and wanted the recipe. Clearly a winner!

• Often shop-baked sponges are too fine-crumbed and lack flavour, but this tasted home-baked, really good. I’m not a fan of butter cream, so a thinner layer through the middle would have been better, but the topping with the crumble worked very well.

• Really different and excellent quality cake. Contains good large pieces of apple and nice frosting

• We always buy Sponge cakes for all of our birthdays, and celebrations. I brought my husband the Apple Crumble cake this year and it tastes amazing!!!!! he loved it so much that I had to order the cake again so he could take it into work for his colleagues and it didn’t last long at all!. I tried the chocolate brownies, again it’s lovely it’s just a bit to rich for me.

• The feedback from the two I have bought for gifts was amazing, impressive, much larger than anticipated.
