• The variety of sponges meant that everyone could have their favourite.

• For the price I expected much better quality or larger size. Cakes were small and no better than higher range supermarket cakes,cwhich would be cheaper. Similar sized cakes that are better quality from local bakery cost less. Only positive sides are appealing packaging (but lots of plastic) and convenience of home delivery. I won't buy again.

• The service was great from start to finish was unable to take a friend for coffee and cake due to distance, while she was going through a tough time and this was a brilliant option. Liked that I could add coffee , hot chocolate etc to the order to make it into a proper treat.

• Ordered these for an office celebration, because they are individually wrapped it meant nothing was wasted. Great selection of flavours, although more vegan options would be appreciated. I would definitely order these again.

• These little cakes were amazing, they still tasted fresh 5 days after arriving. The only slighty issue was that there was not the choice in the gluten free range than there was for the same gluten free larger cakes, perhaps something to consider moving forward. Anyone reading this review who has a gluten free diet, please try these cakes, l do not think you will be disappointed.

• This is such handy service I have used several times now the baby sponges make great gifts for friends thank you for such great cakes and service is excellent.

• Individual boxes were a good variety of colours, made it easy to identify flavours and those which were vegan / gluten free. Taste was also a positive as we were told by our guests. Most importantly, being individually wrapped made them very easy to bring home and me at we also didn’t need to faff about with finding something to cut and distribute to guests.

• I first found out about Sponge having received 4 baby sponges as a gift. Since then I always use this company when I want to send a gift by post as they are reliable, taste great and a refreshing change to sending half dead flowers that are more costly. You get value for money and love the optional add ons such as hot choc and coffee sachets.

• They were definitely 'Baby' size... thought they would have been a decent size for the money. My guests laughed at the size about one mouthful. Loads of packaging but not much cake. The cakes were good except the size.

• I accidentally came across this website and thought I’d treat my mum to a selection of little cakes for her birthday. I wasn’t too sure what to expect and a bit sceptical with it being posted, but I was pleasantly surprised. The cakes came individually wrapped and presently lovely. The cakes themselves were so tasty and moist and just an ideal size to try a range of cakes. I will definitely be using this service again!
