• Well what can I say!! I ordered these for my parents who are in isolation due to Coronavirus. We could not all get together for their birthdays so we sent them cake as a surprise. They loved everything about them ‘there were even serviettes’. The cakes were wonderful and my dad has asked me to order them some more. Also as Sponge is in Holt (I live in Norfolk) we were able to support a local business. Thank you very much

• What a clever idea. So much choice on offer, all tastes and diets catered for.

• Issue was they were over 2 weeks out of date. I was told the wrong ticket put on. Sorry not happy about that sponge was not fresh i work in food safety policies and that is not a justified answer. My 80 year old grandma could have eaten that. An apology no good will or anything i to instill any confidence with the product and i had to ask for a refund.

• Really enjoyed my mini cakes, shared a pic with my friend and she purchased some too. Perfect for WFH 3pm teatime.

• A great idea, to be able to send four small sponges, ideal for someone living on their own. Also great to be able to choose different flavours. I spent hours trying to find a company to deliver a cake to my brother on his birthday, came across Sponge and couldn't be simpler to choose and order.Great product, well packed delivered on time and delicious!

• All the flavours I ordered tasted just as you would hope, distinctive flavours but not overpowering. I ordered carrot, chocolate, coffee and bakewell . They were light, moist, perfectly flavoured and sandwiched with delicious icing. The flavours do not encroach into the other cakes as so well packaged.

• My order was for my son and his family. This year I was not able to share the birthday celebrations - or cake, unfortunately. But they all enjoyed them. They didn’t last long. General opinion was “very yummy”

• I thought it was beautifully boxed and made the whole experience of getting them even more special, I also liked the fact you included napkins in case they were being shared. The mini boxes the cakes come in are really sweet and add a little extra something. The cakes were fresh but some were ever so slightly dry, but I’m general very tasty. My husband was a big fan of the Apple crumble flavour which had a lovely spicy taste & a delicious delicate buttercream. The are so dinky that it’s hard not to find them cute. They’re small but at 90g they are actually a really decent portion size. I’d definitely recommend them as idea for a birthday celebration or for a workplace.

• Cheered my mum up as she's been stuck at home and I haven't been able to visit for Mother's Day. She said they were delicious!

• I think the cakes would be better if they were not wrapped in plastic as this makes the sponge sweat and the cakes become sticky. Otherwise the taste is lovely with a nice filling.
