• This is the second time we have bought a gluten free cake from Sponge. Both the chocolate and the coffee sponges were absolutely delicious. Sometimes, it has to be said, that gluten free cakes are a compromise but this definitely is not the case with Sponge. Unless we had known we would not have been able to tell that the cakes were gluten free. Sometimes gluten free cakes have a powdery texture on the palette but there was no hint of this with these cakes. By far the best gf cake at an extremely reasonable price too. Have recommended you to family and friends. Well done Sponge?

• Served the cake with some double cream. Everyone said it was delicious and the sponge was moist and the buttercream light. Then I told them it was gluten free. Their minds were blown. They thought I was winding them up. 15 people took note of the website. I suspect Sponge have 15 new customers, and that is a testament to the quality of the product.

• It has been a while since I last ordered a cake from Sponge but the quality of the product is just as high and the taste as delicious as I remember. Gluten free cakes which do not taste gluten-free - that has got to be a winner! Excellent choice of flavours, too!

• I am the only Gluten Free in the family but somehow I am lucky if I get a slice of this. Normally they complain my gf food tastes like cardboard. Unfortunately they now know Sponge gluten free is as good as the real thing :)
