GET THAT SWEET SPOT

Buttercream loves a gentle warm-up, and brownies need a little patience to reach their soft, gooey magic. Our bakes have been chilling in transit and need time to be their best so if your sponge is a little dry give it some more time.

ROOM TEMP, BEST TEMP

Let your bake rest in their packaging for up to 12 hours or when it reaches room temperature. It will then be at its full, fluffy glory. Cake is always at its best when it’s cosy, not chilly.

KEEP IT FRESH

Pop leftovers in an airtight container and store somewhere cool and dry... no fridge chills or sunbathing, please! Keeping them at room temperature keeps your bakes soft, gooey, and full of joy.

FREEZE FOR FUTURE JOY

Celebration postponed? Wrap your cake carefully and freeze for up to six months. When you’re ready, thaw at room temperature to bring back that soft, fresh-baked magic you love.

Overall the cake was as expected. Have ordered a few celebration cakes this year from this company and everyone said they were delicious. Didn’t get the ordered item (see comments above). Was substituted with a lovely alternative BUT as order placed so far in advance didn’t expect a last minute swap. I had no choice to accept as such short notice - a chocolate cake isn’t very similar to strawberry & Prosecco Beautiful cake would definitely buy it again, makes an ideal grown up birthday cake. I was shocked at the height of the cake; three layers of sponge with two different flavours in between. I ordered a cake for eight; which gave generous portions. However, next time I'll go for a larger sized cake - because I'm greedy. I highly recommend sponge.co.uk and will consider them as the first choice for my next celebration. Their sponge cakes are exceptional. Wasn’t for myself, ordered for my daughter who lives away. She said it looked pretty and that it was huge but haven’t heard about the eating of it.
