• Purchased two of the chocolate cake recently, one for myself and another to be sent directly to a friend as a festive surprise. Both cakes arrived on time, great customer service. The chocolate cake remained fresh for several days, and was super delicious. I'll continue to purchase from this company in the future.

• The sponge was dry and the icing in the middle was a solid lump. This was after leaving the cake at 21 degrees for several hours. I ended up separating the sponges, removing the lump of icing and then adding my own icing filling before reconstructing the cake. Not ideal, but I didn't want waste. I informed customer services about the issue, they quickly resolved the issue efficiently and to my satisfaction. Delivery and cake presentation were excellent as is the range of cakes on offer.

• My brother is a cake/dessert monster BUT he is picky! He absolutely loved the Chocolate Sponge and it is a big enough cake to have a slice every day for a week and still as good as day 1!

• The cake was gluten free coffee cake. Not chocolate cake. It arrived on its side, the box was intact this time, but the cake damaged. (I have taken photo for your quality control) It was greasy on top, it had a pool of grease on one side, the sponge tasted unpleasantly of margarine. There was hardly any icing in the centre, as there had been in previous cakes. It did not taste distinctly of coffee, or butter. It was improved by the addition of my own coffee butter icing, but still a disappointing cake. Definitely not the treat I was hoping for.
