Buttercream loves a gentle warm-up, and brownies need a little patience to reach their soft, gooey magic. Our bakes have been chilling in transit and need time to be their best so if your sponge is a little dry give it some more time.

ROOM TEMP, BEST TEMP

Let your bake rest in their packaging for up to 12 hours or when it reaches room temperature. It will then be at its full, fluffy glory. Cake is always at its best when it’s cosy, not chilly.

KEEP IT FRESH

Pop leftovers in an airtight container and store somewhere cool and dry... no fridge chills or sunbathing, please! Keeping them at room temperature keeps your bakes soft, gooey, and full of joy.

FREEZE FOR FUTURE JOY

Celebration postponed? Wrap your cake carefully and freeze for up to six months. When you’re ready, thaw at room temperature to bring back that soft, fresh-baked magic you love.

The cakes were for my daughters wedding. Excellent value. Large tasty cakes. Generous servings for 110 guests. We had planned to make our own cakes but I broke my wrist. These were an excellent alternative, we just added our own decorations.

The 6 cakes we had at our wedding were brilliant. Everyone commented on what an excellent idea it was! We brought individual cake toppers for each one, so that they all looked unique. Excellent value for money, would recommend to anyone!

Sponge is a great option for wedding cakes. Our guests loved the six different flavours we’d ordered and we only had a handful of slices left the next day showing just how tasty they were. We were able to order mini sponges so that we could taste some of the cakes in advance, creating a fun evening cake tasting at home. The Sponge team were very helpful when I called them to ask about dietary requirements, the vegan and gluten free (coeliac) mini cakes went down very well. The cakes arrived on the day we specified. They were packed very well to ensure safe travel. The decoration on the cakes was great, meaning we had one less thing to worry about on the wedding day.

Loved it! I contacted customer services some help with a tailored ordered (needed a mix of cakes including some gluten free). Our guests were so excited to have a choice of flavours, and being a long time sponge customer knew they would bowl everyone over! Such great value for money!!
