• We have used Sponge on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The pinata cake is a firm favourite with my granddaughter but can also recommend the birthday sponge, millionaire cake, carrot cake (my favourite), chocolate cake. All equally as good.

• The cake was for a birthday- it needed to look good. The cake looked fabulous covered in chocolate flakes, the texture was light and moist, and the cake was delicious- as good as it looked!

• Tasty and fun. Out daughter loved this as her first gluten free birthday cake!!!

• It was a lovely cake and the grandchildren loved the sweets hiding inside. We used it for our Golden wedding anniversary at home with family and everyone enjoyed it even though i am the only one gluten free.

• Since my husband and daughter have been diagnosed coeliacs, we have struggled to find birthday cake options. This pinata cake was brilliant, the children and adults both loved it. Great flavour and the buttercream was perfect. Please expand your gf birthday cake options xx

• This cake was absolutely scrumptious with its thick layers of chocolate buttercream. The fun bit was finding the mini coloured chocolates inside. What an incredible treat. The texture was excellent being denser than a non-gluten-free cake and this made it easier to have smaller pieces which were lovely and moist, and made the cake last longer than expected which was a bonus. Totally recommend!

• I ordered from Sponge as I wanted a proper birthday cake for my girlfriend who is Coeliac and I’m not much of a baker myself, thus them being certified Coeliac friendly made them a great choice. The cake arrive exactly when scheduled to and I was delighted to see it came with a little certificate like pamphlet further documenting that the cake was Coeliac friendly which allowed me to instantly put my girlfriends mind at ease so she could get to enjoying it! And enjoy it we did, it was delicious, not at all dry, and I honestly could not tell the difference from a regularly made cake. Overall, absolutely brilliant, will definitely be ordering more from here next time I need a tasty surprise!

• I personally do not like GF cake and would never willingly eat any, but having ordered this for my Coeliac daughter, was amazed at how delicious it was. Did not have the sandy/ gritty texture associated with gf baking. Will be ordering this on repeat now.
