The universal opinion of attendees, and my own, was that it was slightly too sweet compared to the other cakes. With previous cakes from Sponge I hadn't noticed, but in comparison to others it was very obvious.

• Beautiful light sponge - with plentiful buttercream filling but it wasn’t sickly. You’d never know it was GF and all the family loved it. The size of the cake is generous and we were delighted.
