• The cake was lovely and moist, and tasted great, but for me I found it has just a bit too much buttercream that made the cake too sweet.

• The lemon drizzle cake was light and moist just the right amount of lemon and sweetness from the lemon butter cream. Mmmmmmm so nice be back soon

• We found the lemon cake was a bit bland and dry compared to what we normally expect of a lemon cake. Needs more lemon sharpness in both the cake and filling. A more moist cake too would be preferred. Definitely not our favourite choice so far.

• Nice touch with a bit of white choc to contrast with the lemon flavour. Buttercream centre was yummy! Obviously very fresh, light and fluffy.

• I ordered the Lemon Drizzle cake for my son's birthday. The cakes are gorgeous quality and between the three adult males in the house, they polished off 16 pieces in 6 days! Sadly I can't eat wheat, oats, grains, no gluten free or modified starches so I don't get to enjoy the cake but as long as the boys love it, I shall continue to buy them their birthday cakes from Sponge! X

• The cake is delicious and generously filled. It is very zesty and refreshing. It also lasted a good few days kept in an airtight container.

• I bought this cake for my parents who are isolating as they have just returned from Greece. They loved the surprise and found the cake delicious. They froze half of the cake but it didn't stay in the freezer for very long! Tasted just as nice as when eaten from fresh

• A moist sponge cake with a tasty lemon zing. The cream filling is not too thick and not too sweet, and has a lovely light vanilla taste to it. There is a slight crispiness to the to ping that makes it even more delightful. Perfect! 10/10.

• I sent this to a friend who has just come home after had an operation instead of flowers. She was delighted with it, she tells me it is delicious - light and moist, perfect to share with friends visiting her. The lemon drizzle was sweet but tangy not too rich.

• Beautifully presented and packaged. Nice and moist. Deep and generous sponge. The sponge itself could have benefitted from a much stronger hit of lemon. We felt (as a family of lemon drizzle cake lovers!) that there was not enough lemon zest in the sponge. The buttercream was nice and lemony.

• Apart from coming On the wrong day, it came Saturday instead of Monday. The cake looked very good. I didn’t have any but others said it was very nice.

• I’m never usually tempted to go for lemon cake but my husband and I came to a joint decision, having previously narrowed down the choice to three. The delicate and fresh flavour of the sponge is complemented by the slightly sweeter tasting cream, which makes the whole experience delicious.
