• Very, very dry sponge. I have had vegan cakes before and can even bake one myself, it can still be moist and tasty. This one felt like eating cardboard! Pity the children waiting for a birthday party treat ending up wasting most on their plates.

• The cake I ordered was beautifully presented and tasted delightful. The buttercream was of the perfect proportion to the sponge, not too sweet and tasted amazing. The sponge was also delicious - a perfect level of chocolate flavour. We all had a generous slice and because it was not too sweet, it was easy to eat the whole slice. I would definitely recommend this company for a good value, delicious cake for any occasion (do you need an occasion to eat cake?!) who reliably deliver their well-preserved cakes on time and in perfect condition.

I used t dread eating vegan cakes as they can be dry, stodgy, or just not cake like. This cake was the first time I’ve purchased from the site and I can only say WOW. The cake is beautiful, the buttercream is beautiful, everyone ate it regardless vegan or not. Even little children didn’t notice any difference, in fact I couldn’t notice that it was vegan.
