• I ordered this cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday and it was enjoyed by all the family. Even more delicious than I expected. Arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition. Will be ordering more cakes! Thank you.

• The rainbow cake was for my fiance's birthday ,and he loved it,so did l !!

• We love sponge cakes but this one was too sweet which meant it wasn’t as enjoyable. This was a shame as it was more expensive too.

• The cake was again of a high quality. Packaging was great again meaning the cake was secure and arrived safely. Don’t change anything about the recipe, the buttercream and the cake mixture is perfect. Everyone who tries the cake loves it, and said they will order one themselves. The white chocolate flaking off the outside can become a bit messy, but we just make sure we sit the cake on a big tray.

• Lovey cake, bought for my daughters birthday and added my own cake topper. Kids love a rainbow centre! Made sure there was plenty left for adults too

• We found this cake a bit sweet. This was due to the icing, maybe a little too much of it and it had that slight synthetic taste (the icing). The sponge it’s self was slightly dry but the balance was nice once we cut off the top and side icing. We are not the sort to be overly fussy about sweet cakes, I love sugar and always love your cakes, this one was just a bit overly sweet for us. Thanks.

• My friend recommended your cakes to me having been sent one herself for her birthday. My daughter in law (to be) was thrilled with her cake which was delicious and a chocoholics dream! It arrived on time, beautifully packaged and great quality. She was still eating the cake a week later and it retained its freshness and taste. Will definitely use your cake service again. • Really liked the product. Generous portion sizes, colourful and very fresh and moist. Everyone commented on how lovely it was. Struggled with the create a cake option which was a shame bit was able to get this option made gluten free so no real problem.

• The cake was decorated with white chocolate shavings which covered the cake. The cake itself was very weighty with soft, moist sponge. The colours in the layers were bright and it cut beautifully. I loved the touch of a plastic rainbow topper that was provided. I would not hesitate to recommend this cake.

• The rainbow cake was much bigger than expected because its very tall which means you get big portions with thinner slices. Tasted exactly as described and the cake was very light. The white chocolate actually had really good flavour unlike some cheaper white chocolate you get. Very happy again, everyone said they really liked it.

• My daughter was super surprised when I sliced into her cake after her happy birthday as sung, in a very, very good and happy way. She clapped her little hands together with delight and squeezed my leg as she said thank you. This set my heart alive with love and was even more than I was hoping for. She’s had a horrible time since December with me splitting from her abusive father. I was determined to make this birthday special for her and to create some new, happy memories to overwrite the bad ones, and this cake was very much a part in that process. She was delighted, as were her big brothers, and myself. The cake arrived on the Tuesday, went on display and was served up to my daughter and her guests in the baking heat on the Wednesday, and the remainder stored in the fridge. On the Friday evening we decided to have that last little piece with a movie and I was worried it may have been dry and stale by then, but it wasn’t. It was every bit as delicious as it had been on the Wednesday. So superbly brilliant quality. I couldn’t think of one single flaw even if I tried with all my might. I thoroughly recommend Sponge, and will be going back to them for every special occasion now for the rest of my life. So easy and quick to order, amazing value for money, and utterly delicious. Once you’ve tried this company, you’ll never shop for cakes for special occasions anywhere else, ever again.

• Definitely a rainbow layered cake, would of preferred the dark green to be a different colour, I don’t know why but green food just never looks appetising! Other than that it’s absolutely fault less, super fresh, good quantity of frosting and white choc around the outside and in between layers also. Still nice to eat a few days after too.

• Bought the rainbow cake for our Grandson as a surprise after he had an operation. He and our Granddaughter were delighted with it and it was pronounced delicious by all!
