• I do not buy chocolate cake and have it delivered, this was the first time in my life. I decided to fulfill one of my smaller dreams and it was good that I did that. Soft sponge, and very good tasting chocolate cream in the middle.

• Delicious coffee cake. Don't be fooled by the coffee beans on top, they're delicious too!

• Absolutely delicious, I can honestly say I have not had a better coffee sponge and they are my favourite.

• An absolutely gorgeous coffee sponge! Soft , light and a really good coffee flavour to both sponge and buttercream. It was devoured in no time. I’ve made sponge cakes for over 40 years myself and tend to be rather critical , but this was just as good as mine.

• Definitely order again-this is the second cake ordered from Sponge. And haven't been disappointed with either product.

• I oredered a coffee cake from Sponge for my mums birthday, it was during "lock down" and she was feeling rather low and lonely, the cake really made her day. Her birthday cake arrived on time and incredibly well and invitingly packaged, the coffee cake was light and the frosting generous and very tasty. (She did freeze a portion for me as we were not together during lockdown and even though it doesnt say it is recommended it tasted amazing even after being frozen) I will definately be ordering again, cant wait to try some other flavours, great job Sponge! Thank you for making my mums birthday special

• Unfortunately we didn’t get to sample the cake but from what we hear it arrived in perfect condition and was delicious.

• I ordered the coffee for 8 and it was too sweet for my liking, the butter cream in particular was very sugary. So if you're not into really sweet desserts, this won't be for you. Every review I've read on the website has been really positive, especially about how moist the sponge is so I was quite disappointed because the sponge was quite dry. It could be because the cellophane which is supposed to keep the cake fresh and moist for up to 7 days wasn't completely sealed when I received it.

• This was our first Sponge order, and we were really impressed. I wanted a yummy cake for my Mum's birthday, and her favourite is Coffee cake. The cake arrived 2 days ahead of her birthday, but the cake still tasted really fresh on the day. There was a strong coffee taste and the best coffee buttercream I have tasted in a long time.

• Always had good cakes ,nice to look at ,lovely tasting ,very happy and never buy anywhere else as very good standards ,never been let down by this company ,I put the wrong delivery date down and it was sorted straight away ,good communication

• This coffee cake is phenomenal!! The sponge is perfect density with just the right hint of coffee, the coffee buttercream filling is sensational and the chocolate coffee beans on the top just made the whole cake that bit sweeter! Cannot recommend this cake enough!

• Ordered a cake for delivery to my mum for her Birthday. Communication was brilliant- got updates throughout the whole process right to the delivery. Cake was reasonably priced to say it got delivered to the door within a time slot. Didn’t get to try the cake but Mum’s feedback was it was beautifully wrapped, delicious and moist and even came with napkins! She was very impressed!
