• Was very moist and tasty..would definitely order this again but in a bigger size. The taste of orange was there and together with chocolate it was yummy.

• For the first time I was a bit disappointed with any of Sponge cake. It was dry and felt like a bit old cake. Ordered one more cake (different flavour) in the same order which was awesome as usual.

• The cake was carefully enclosed in a lovely box. On opening the box we were so thrilled that the cake was a decent size! The cake itself was delicious- especially the fondant filling! Definitely a winner!

• My son, who chose this for his birthday, loved the cake. Personally I found it a bit dry. Great though that they do fast delivery and that you don’t have to order 2 weeks in advance like in many other places.

• I purchased this cake as a present for my partner's 44th birthday...it was (is - we've managed not to gorge ourselves...just!) absolutely delicious and I was also very pleased with the (free) card and the candles I paid for. The delivery company were a little underwhelming (DHL, I think?)...the box had a dent in it and it was left on my doorstep on it's side, despite the wording on the box CLEARLY stating 'This Way Up'. Luckily the cake wasn't damanged, so all's well that ends well! I will definitely use Sponge again.

• This is actually the 3rd cake we’ve ordered as they are just delicious!! The vegan cake was amazing it was so moist and delicious and catered to everyone’s needs - I’ve already recommended these guys!!!! Delivery was brill took advantage and ordered the cake an extra day early which meant I wasn’t worried about getting it on time. Absolutely brilliant shop well done guys we love you at SPONGE!!!

• Absolutely delicious. The 7 year old birthday girl sneakily scraped out and ate half the buttercream from the remaining cake in it’s Tupperware as she loved it so much... would definitely order again!

• The chocolate orange cake is dense but not dry at all. It's amazing cold or heated up, wouldn't have considered this, so that was a good suggestion on the packaging. Flavour is beautiful. Would definitely order again. I thought it wouldn't serve 8 at first but it was such a tall cake you only need small slice.
