• I found it rather overwhelming ! I'm used to simple Victoria Sponge with jam. It was rather too sweet for my taste and I felt, didn't need sultanas at all. However , it had a lovely moist texture and the taste was excellent.

• We were celebrating several birthdays, in a family where allergies are a problem. Everyone was able to have a slice as the cake was made with allergies in mind. We thought the cake was fantastic, moist and flavoursome. It was a very good size so seconds all round.

• Great. Ordered for my Dad who is diabetic so cakes with butter icing are too much sugar for him. If you did another non iced cake for variety in such cases that would be even better please!??

• Tooooo sweet! Unfortunately this one wasn’t enjoyed by all. It definitely needed an accompanying custard or ice cream to make it palliatable

• The combination of flavours made it a very interesting cake. It is difficult to find a special cake that is lactose free.

• The cake looked lovely but was very heavy with far too much sugar. It had a strange tang to the flavour and not one member of the family liked it. It ended up as Bird food and even they turned their beaks up so half of it ended up in the good waste bin.

• I ordered the Elizabeth sponge and it was very moist. The cake as a whole was very sweet. It could do without the sugar on top and the jam could be less sweet. I hope this will help to improve the product.

• Ordered for my mother's birthday. She took it to a family outdoor picnic where she was able to share it with others. Only she was gluten free, but the cake was still enjoyed by everyone. Full marks for this cake!

• Nice apricot flavour which came through well. It seems that you need to enter at least 50 characters in this box or you can’t submit the form!

• This is one of my absolute favourite "Sponge" cakes. It's delicious eaten straight with a cup of tea but is also divine warm with custard or ice cream as a pudding. Scrumptious!
