Comfort food for the cold weather
Food does wonders for comforting us on cold days and nights
The cold weather makes us all keen to find comfort. A lot of us have already dug out the big cosy jumpers and blankets that we hid away during the warmer weather, and it helps somewhat. And it’s often a struggle to get motivated when all you want to do is stay wrapped up in a lovely warm duvet.
Other ways to find comfort is with some good food. We all have our cold weather favourites, and our go to goodies to warm us on the inside and release to serotonin and give us that lovely happy feeling we all need at this time of year. And we have some wonderful goodies that will bring a smile to everyone’s face with every mouthful. Our cakes and brownies are the best pick me ups to give you that comforting feeling when it’s a bit nippy outside.
Whole Cakes
We have a fabulous range of cakes that will help to warm you up this autumn and winter.
Rainbow Cake - Brighten up the cold dark nights with this flamboyant cake! Our colourful rainbow cake is made up of four layers of light and fluffy vanilla sponge with three layers of deliciously sweet vanilla buttercream sandwiched between. Vanilla buttercream also covers the entire cake and it is then coated very generously in a cloud of white chocolate flakes. The perfect rainbow birthday cake for any age, or a great cake to cheer up a loved one. Due to the number of layers, buttercream and coating it is very generous and will easily feed more than 8 people! Comes with a rainbow topper for decoration.
Speculoos Biscoff Cake - A comforting and warming sponge with a deep caramel flavour and hints of cinnamon and other spices. The sponge is held together with a thick layer of buttercream which is infused with biscoff - a caramelised biscuit spread. More of the biscoff buttercream is spread over the top and then covered with a generous biscoff crumb. This Speculoos Biscoff Cake is not one to be missed!
Chocolate and Caramel Cake - This yummy sponge cake is flavoured with chocolate and caramel creating a marbled effect. It is sandwiched together with a generous double layer of buttercream - chocolate buttercream on the bottom and caramel buttercream on top. It is finished off with more chocolate buttercream on top, a gorgeous drizzle of chocolate, and a sprinkle of crushed salted butter pieces.
Apple and Blackberry Crumble Cake - Our new seasonal special is here - ready for you to cosy up with in the warm this autumn and winter. Real apple pieces and blackberries are scattered through the cinnamon and ginger sponge which is complimented with a thick vanilla buttercream and crumble on top!
Rocky Road Cake - Naturally flavoured vanilla sponge and delicious chocolate sponge are swirled together creating an indulgent marbled sponge. English butter and chocolate create a smooth buttercream, with marshmallows and crispy chocolate pearls on top.
Now, if you’re gluten free, or require dairy free or vegan cakes, do not worry, we haven’t forgotten you! We believe that everyone should get to have a delicious slice (or two) of cake to bring a smile to their face any time of year! So, you’ll be pleased to know we have a great range of free from cakes too.

Chocolate is a wonderful treat that warms our souls as well as our tastebuds. And brownies are the perfect way to enjoy some delicious chocolate.
Biscoff Brownie - A delicious chocolate brownie - gloriously gooey in the middle with melted triple chocolate chunks running throughout, topped with a generous layer of biscoff spread and then covered with a crunchy biscoff crumb. Chocolate and biscoff work perfectly together giving the chocolate brownies a dark caramel flavour with hints of cinnamon and other spices. Pure bliss.
Chocolate Orange Brownie - A classic and well-loved combination of chocolate and orange make this brownie truly tempting! A gooey chocolate orange flavoured brownie with orange chocolate chunks dotted through the middle. Topped with a pretty white chocolate, dark chocolate and orange chocolate drizzle effect. The ultimate brownie for any Terry's Chocolate Orange lovers out there...
Hazelnut Praline Brownie - This decadent and creamy Hazelnut Praline brownie is a nutella lover's dream! The rich and gooey chocolate brownie has hazelnut praline and roasted hazelnut pieces running through it. It is then topped with more hazelnut pieces and spun in deliciously dark chocolate.
Raspberry and white chocolate brownie - Our luxurious White Chocolate and Raspberry Brownies are the perfect blend of gooey rich chocolate, sharp raspberries and sweet white chocolate. If you want to send a small comforting gift to your loved ones, or friends, then our Cake Cards are the ideal choice. You get to choose one of our fabulous card designs, we have a card for every occasion, so we’re confident you’ll find the right card to send. If you don’t, you can also create your own card with our Photo Card option.
What makes our Cake Cards extra special is that you can create a wonderful letterbox gift with them by including a slice or two of delicious cake. There are lots of flavours to choose from including standard cake slices, gluten free cake slices, vegan cakes slices, and flapjacks.
