Our Banoffee Sponge is the perfect comfort food full of pureed bananas, chocolate chips and toffee. It has a fluffy and light sponge flavoured with pureed bananas and delicious chunks of chocolate, which is sandwiched together with a delicious layer of thick toffee buttercream in the middle. Another layer of buttercream is spread on top and drizzled with melted chocolate. Loved by kids and grown-ups alike!
Inspired by banoffee pie, we absolutely adore the combination of toffee and bananas together. They’re like a match made in heaven, that’s one of the reasons why we created our banoffee sponge in the first place. It was only a limited-edition flavour originally, then we gave you a choice to bring back one of our previous flavours early in the year and it won the vote!
