For most of us, chocolate is a wonderful thing, whether you love dark, milk, or white chocolate, they give you a great sensation of happiest with every taste. And that’s because chocolate triggers endorphins to be released in our brains, filling us with joy and making us smile.
The cocao bean, which chocolate is made from, is native to Mexico, as well as south and central America. More recently the plant has been transplanted into the U.S.A and some other European countries to increase the crop yield to keep up with the high consumer demand.
Around 1 billion people from around the world eat chocolates every day and it may surprise you to know that it actually has some health benefits. Dark chocolate is the healthiest of the choices as it contains fibre and other minerals, as well as some antioxidants. So, some believe that eating a single square of dark chocolate, with at least 70% cocoa content, a day will bring some health benefits, while also squashing cravings for more of the sweet stuff.
And there is a day where we can all be a little bit naughty to indulge in our favourite treats, on the 7th of July 2022 it’s World Chocolate Day! Now, we incorporate chocolate in a fair few of our cakes, so we think it’s a great way to celebrate this delicious and delightful treat. And we also have a great range of chocolate brownies to celebrate with as well.

It is finished off with more chocolate buttercream on top, a gorgeous drizzle of chocolate, and a sprinkle of crushed salted butter pieces.
Chocolate Cake - Luxurious and rich chocolate, flour and free range eggs create a moist and indulgent Sponge. English butter and chocolate create the ultimate chocolate buttercream and milk chocolate flakes decorate the top. A chocaholics dream!
Chocolate Orange Cake - Chocolate and natural orange flavours are swirled together to create a delicious marbled chocolate orange sponge. Buttercream is made with British butter and decadent chocolate. Three different drizzles decorate the top.
Millionaires Cake - Half of the sponge is hand-made with natural vanilla flavouring and free range eggs and the other half is made with indulgent chocolate. Caramel and natural toffee flavouring create a luxurious buttercream. Pretty drizzled milk and white chocolate on the top.
Red Velvet Cake - Free range eggs, cocoa and beetroot powder and natural yoghurt create a striking deep red sponge. British butter and natural vanilla flavouring create a velvety buttercream. It is finished with a pretty red crumb on the top.
Rocky Road Cake - Naturally flavoured vanilla sponge and delicious chocolate sponge are swirled together creating an indulgent marbled sponge. English butter and chocolate create a smooth buttercream, with marshmallows and crispy chocolate pearls on top.
