The start of a new school year is getting closer, as the Autumn 2021 Term is about to begin, parents are cheering and most kids are huffing, not ready to give up the summer holiday fun quite yet.
You may be rushing around trying to get a few last-minute back-to-school essentials to make sure they have everything, and praying that it is finally the year that they don’t lose that expensive piece of equipment they need for just one subject. It can be a very stressful time for both children and adults.
Back-to-school gifts aren’t just for the kids, but they are a great way to wish them good luck at the start of a new school year, and it might give them a little bit more motivation to get going at the beginning of the school year. Equally, parents should enjoy a back-to-school gift too, as they have managed to survive a full 6 weeks with the children going wild. Whole Cakes
This is something that the whole family can enjoy, it would make a great after-school treat for the kids, and the adults will love a slice of cake too. There are lots of flavours to choose from, so you’ll be spoilt for choice:
Strawberries & Cream Cake – A double-layered summer beauty! A fluffy and soft vanilla sponge sandwiched together with sweet strawberry buttercream and drizzled with white chocolate on top. Rocky Road Cake – Definitely a favourite that will please the kids. This fun cake has naturally flavoured vanilla sponge and delicious chocolate sponge are swirled together creating an indulgent marbled sponge. English butter and chocolate create a smooth buttercream, with marshmallows and crispy chocolate pearls on top.
Coffee Cake – Send a parent a pick me up, the small caffeine boost will help them recover from the exhaustion of entertaining the children all summer. The sponge is made with quality coffee and free range eggs creating a velvety and light coffee flavoured cake. Speculoos Biscoff Cake – This Belgian-style biscoff cake is full of sugar and spice and all things nice! A comforting and warming sponge with a deep caramel flavour and hints of cinnamon and other spices. The sponge is held together with a thick layer of buttercream which is infused with biscoff - a caramelised biscuit spread. More of the biscoff buttercream is spread over the top and then covered with a generous biscoff crumb. This Speculoos Biscoff Cake is not one to be missed!
Chocolate & Caramel Cake – This yummy sponge cake is flavoured with chocolate and caramel creating a marbled effect. It is sandwiched together with a generous double layer of buttercream - chocolate buttercream on the bottom and caramel buttercream on top. It is finished off with more chocolate buttercream on top, a gorgeous drizzle of chocolate, and a sprinkle of crushed salted butter pieces.

A delicious chocolate brownie - gloriously gooey in the middle with melted triple chocolate chunks running throughout, topped with a generous layer of biscoff spread and then covered with a crunchy biscoff crumb. Chocolate and biscoff work perfectly together giving the chocolate brownies a dark caramel flavour with hints of cinnamon and other spices. Pure bliss.
Hazelnut Praline Brownie – This decadent and creamy Hazelnut Praline brownie is a nutella lover's dream! The rich and gooey chocolate brownie has hazelnut praline and roasted hazelnut pieces running through it. It is then topped with more hazelnut pieces and spun in deliciously dark chocolate.
Chocolate Orange Brownie – A classic and well loved combination of chocolate and orange make this brownie truly tempting!
