• It looked very nice but was a bit dry

• Absolutely loved this cake and used it as a base for a unicorn themed cake for a 5 year old. She was delighted when we opened it. Home made quality!

• I don’t really have any criticism but if I was going to mention one, it would be to say to make the rainbow slices a little brighter in colour as the colours were a little dull (for rainbow colours) but still was great.

• The perfect balance of sweetness. Even my son - who isn't a huge fan of sponge cakes, did the side turn, eyebrow raise of acknowledgement at just how scrummy it was! Fresh, fast and always spot on. 🙂

• My daughter is studying in SE England and I wanted to make her first birthday away from home special. After some research, your Rainbow Cake seemed perfect. Ordering was easy and the cake was delivered on the day I planned. She was completely surprised and said the cake was great. It was moist and there was plenty of cake for more than 8 to enjoy.

• Went down really well and with the added bonus of multicoloured layers was a lovely surprise for the recipient.

• Loved the rainbow cake. It was a big hit with my teen son. Looked brilliant and tasted great. Everyone really enjoyed it.

• For me, the Rainbow cake it the best. Moist and delicious, and smothered in buttercream....these taste home made, even the buttercream tastes homemade. Inside, the sponge colours are vibrant and really have a wow factor when you cut and serve it. Honestly sublime.

• We buy a Victoria Sponge every couple of weld because it’s the best we have ever tasted and we absolutely love it as a family. The Perfect sponge. But we thought with it being Xmas we would be more daring and got the Rainbow cake , and we found it just too too sweet and for the first time ever 90% of the cake was thrown away as we couldn’t eat it. It looked beautiful but was just too sweet. Maybe we are just boring but we will stick to your prefect Victoria Sponge in future.

• It was decent! It looked great! Not so much a rainbow, rather a brightly coloured layered cake, but visually it was incredibly satisfying! The taste on the other hand let it down a little, I’m sure this is more to do with individual preference, but I couldnt help but find it far to sickly to begin with, and it had that underlying taste you’d get from the cheap “value” sponge given out at your friend from infant school’s birthday party back in the day. Saying that, the pallet adjusts and it becomes somewhat less offensive after being kept in the fridge for a few hours, or even defrosted. You could definitely do worse, so get one and make up your own mind. You won’t regret it at that price!

• Cake bought for my daughter’s birthday as a surprise on return from visiting her husband’s relatives abroad. She was thrilled and described it as ‘addictive’.

• Absolutely gorgeous cake. It wowed our rainbow-loving little treasure and all her friends! The taste was out of this world, with soft sponge cake that didn't taste of the food colouring at all.
