Here at Sponge Cakes UK, we've hit a baking milestone that has us feeling pretty chuffed—we've received Coeliac UK's accreditation! 🎉

What does that mean? Well, it means our gluten-free cakes and gluten-free Brownies are officially top-notch, and we've got a separate bakery to prove it. Innovation and inclusivity are our jam, and we're thrilled to share our gluten-free goodies with you.

Behind the Scenes

Getting accredited wasn't a walk in the park. We set up a separate bakery to keep things gluten-free (no wheaty infiltrators allowed!), and our team of bakers worked tirelessly to create cakes that are as safe as they are scrumptious. Let's just say a few cake crumbs were sacrificed in the name of gluten-free perfection.

The journey started with rigorous assessments to ensure our facility met the strict standards for gluten-free certification. This included thorough inspections of our ingredients, equipment, and overall cleanliness to prevent any risk of cross-contamination.

To keep tabs on every ingredient, we whipped up a custom software system. This bad boy tracks everything from supplier to final product, giving us full transparency and control over our gluten-free supply chain.

Finally, after numerous tests, tweaks, and a hefty dose of patience, we nailed the Coeliac UK Accreditation. An accreditation we are so proud of and proves our team's dedication and relentless pursuit of gluten-free excellence.

Sure, we love cake as much as the next person (probably more), but receiving this accreditation means a lot more than just having a reason to eat more cake (though that's a pretty good reason).
