"My Sponge Moment!

I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday from a different company (just to see what they were like!) & it was the worst decision I ever made.....it arrived 5 days late & the cake was only about an inch thick! The sponge was dry & it just was an utter disaster. To compensate my husband for this unmitigated disaster, I ordered a chocolate cake from Sponge.....with vanilla cream, with fudge bits in, & maltesers on the top.....his face when it arrived (the next day) was fantastic!

We have just had a slice each, & it is truly the best cake I've had for a long long time. Thank you Sponge! You saved the day......& the moral of the tale is, stick to what you know is good.....especially when it comes to cakes 😄"
