  Sponge.co.uk gluten free options never disappoint or compromise quality or taste. They are all delicious, moist cakes and you really cannot taste any difference to the regular sponges. Highly recommended!

  Deleted with this cake , I ordered it for my last day volunteering in a national trust kitchen garden. Everyone was delighted with the quality, taste and presentation. They couldn’t believe it was gluten free( I think non coeliacs think that gluten free food is inedible, although it used to be so ) Really pleased , thank you

  Variety is always welcome and the quirky 4 shari g gave us exactly that. The four different flavours made sure everyone got a good variety and has wet our appetite for more. The apple crumble sponge in particular very much stood out, but they were all great.

  The advantage of this layout was that everyone could have something they liked, and given the substantial size of the cake, this has kept my family of four going all week. Downside of the pre-sliced cake is that it went a bit dry where it had been cut and exposed to air in a way a complete cake would not. I won't be ordering something like this again.

  I have sent many of your cakes and although I have received good feedback, have never actually seen them my self.   I bought these two sharing cakes for the NHS staff on the cancer wards at QE Hospital, King's Lynn. I delivered the cakes as they were delivered to me so did not see inside the outer box, but I trust the cake was as good as always. I have bought several sponges now but always for others so have never tried them myself.

  I did order the quirky sharing cake twice to date and it was excellent to have a choice from either traditional or quirky and a choice in sizing as well. The sharing cakes cater for more choice and covers for peoples likes and dislikes. Your company, as far as I could see, was the only one offering sharing cake. When ordering as a gift this makes so much more sense.

  Cake was good quality, tasty and not crumbly like most GF products elsewhere. Some flavours are similar on the sharing cake so unclear which to order for a full cake. Delivery let you down this time as paid extra and yet didn't receive the promised email giving a 1 hour slot and so had to wait in all morning - otherwise would have been five stars as so difficult to get tasty and non-crumbly GF products.

  The choc cake had crumbled on the top so didn’t look presentable and the other cakes the sponge was a bit on the dry side. It was made better by the delicious frostings and buttercream but the sponge on its own I felt should have been moister and more flavor..I felt the flavor actually came from the buttercream

  It was great to taste the different flavours without committing to purchasing an entire whole cake and handy that the cake was already pre- portioned. We were excited about this sharing cake as we have previously ordered other cakes before from Sponge....but we were left rather disappointed on this occasion.Although we enjoyed the Victoria and Lemon cakes , the Coffee and Chocolate however were both dry and tasted stale the next day .....this is despite all of them being stored in the same air-tight container and at room temperature as per instructions.

  The selection of flavours was lovely, pre-sliced was very useful and it looked fantastic. Unfortunately the sponge was unpleasantly dry, despite warming the cake up fully and eating the day it arrived. I had hoped that the whole cake would be more moist than the cake card I ordered but it wasn't. Fine for a cake by post but not a particularly great cake.

  Excellent way of sampling different flavours rather than buying individual flavour cakes. It then helps decide which flavour to buy next. Also excellent if you have family members that prefer different flavours to each other. My only disappointment is you cannot choose your own 4 flavours, which would help with my first point and having a dairy and gluten free member in my family. I would of liked to swap out one of the four for a segment of df/gf - obviously knowing cross contamination can occur.

  This cake was brilliant! It was only for 3 of us but I was stuck for what cake I wanted! This cake was perfect as we all got to sample 4 different flavours without having to buy 4 cakes! The chocolate and Victoria sponge were the favourites! Strange because we all said we’re not fans of chocolate cake and unless heated up with cream or pice cream find there unusually sickly and stodgy! This on the other hand was so light and delicately flavoured. I’d say the lemon was our least favourite, we still enjoyed it but would have liked a bit more lemon drizzle on the top. I was worried that it was going to be one of those really light almost artificial cake but I strongly believe that this was baked the day or the day before dispatch it just tasted so fresh! I think we’re hooked on this house and I’m looking forward to ordering again! The only tough choice now is do we stick to the same flavour or work of way though them all! Brilliant cakes thank you and well done!

  Finding the Gluten Free Share Cake was amazing for us. It was for my daughter who is supported by a dedicated team of staff, who all have very different tastes. The share cake allowed us to have a cake our daughter could eat ( gluten free) and the staff were all able to choose a piece they liked. It is hard to get a cake that everyone enjoys, and it is so important to us as a family that our daughter does not have to have something different, this cake felt like another step into real inclusion and it was absolutely delicious,

  I can not see the actual cakes I purchased. I can only judge by photos my daughter sent me. Their verdict was tremendous, however, the chocolate cake for 4 sharing I thought it looked a little on the small size. So the next time I ordered the one for 8 sharing I think it gave 2 slices of different cakes, However, they all enjoyed it. but I did feel the cakes are a little pricy when you add on vat and postage.   Firstly and most importantly, the cake is DELICIOUS. It’s soft, flavourful, the buttercream filling was beautifully smooth and sweet.   The Quirky 4 Sharing cake is superb, from conception to execution. Some great twists on traditional cakes, the Bakewell Cake was incredible, so much like its inspiration, the Apple Crumble a delight, Chocolate Orange marble cake true to taste, and the carrot cake delicious and creamy with lovely crunchy walnuts on top. The sponges themselves were light and airy, and the generous buttercream smooth and creamy. Really excellent cakes.

  Great idea having different cakes in one. So you no longer have to pick one flavour or the other - you can have your cake and eat it , quite literally. Looking forward to trying some of the other flavours too.

  Sent this sponge to my daughter and family for Christmas as an alternative to the traditional cake and it went down a storm. Each member of the family had their favourite sponge and it didn't last very long! Thank you :-)

  I am a long term customer of Sponge. I send them to relatives far and wide and we all love them. The cakes arrive safely by post and the cake card has also been enthusiastically received by some elderly relatives who wouldn't have managed a whole cake!!

  We found the apple cake to have a bit too much cinnamon but it was still very good. The rest of the cakes were delicious!
