I sent the Victoria Sponge to my Grandma (89) for her Birthday. She said the sponge itself was delicious but she found the filling rather sweet for their liking. I was dissappointed about that as I was hopeful to subscribe them to recieve regular sponges. Service and delivery was spot on. Although from my point of view it may have been nice to recieve an email/text to say it had been dispached.

is it possible to buy a victoria sponge anywhere that does not contain buttercream, jam only. i hate buttercream and the only way to enjoy a vic sponge other than scrape the middle out first is to make my own.
